Be cautious of imitations from N, VS, and even Clean when making a purchase. It’s best to choose models with a proven track record and to be wary of QC labels and small stickers. Remember, don’t be tempted by small savings that could lead to significant losses.

What is the quality of the craftsmanship on the Clean Factory’s Green Submariner?

Let’s dive into today’s review. We won’t cover how to differentiate between the 41mm and 40mm Submariners, as CH Watch Industry has discussed that previously. The distinction between the Green Submariners is significant: the older 40mm model features a green bezel and green dial, while the new 41mm version has a green bezel paired with a black dial, making it more visually striking.

Let’s examine the details. The green ceramic bezel from Clean Factory is currently the most accurate option available, whether in the 40mm or 41mm versions, including those previously used by VS. Clean’s bezel color closely resembles the original green, offering a more transparent and vibrant appearance.

The color of the Night Pearl has also improved, surpassing that of the previous VS model. In earlier reviews of VS Submariner, CH Watch Industry pointed out that the filling of VS’s Night Pearl was not very full. Additionally, while it appeared beige under normal lighting, it took on a gray hue in darker settings. Clean’s Night Pearl offers a smoother, greenish milky green color, avoiding any gray or pale tones. However, the metal frame encircling the Night Pearl’s outer ring is not well chamfered, leading to a less refined roundness and an average fullness.

The brushed finish on the strap is exquisitely refined, providing a pleasant tactile experience. Here’s a close-up of the buckle: the crown has a pronounced three-dimensional design, and the integration of the buckle components is impressive, showing a level of detail superior to that of VS. Those familiar with CH Watch Industry’s previous reviews of the Clean Coke and Log models will recognize that Clean sources its cases and straps from the same supplier as AR. As a result, Clean’s cases and straps are comparable to AR’s, excelling in material quality, attention to detail, and overall feel. In fact, many watch enthusiasts have expressed a willingness to pay extra for AR straps.

The time adjustment direction of the new 3235 movement of Lawson is different from that of the old 3135 movement. The 3135 is to turn the crown clockwise and the pointer will turn clockwise, while the 3235 is to turn the crown clockwise and the pointer will turn counterclockwise, which is the same as the 2824 movement.
